چکیده

Cascading failure causes a major risk to society currently. And dynamic thermal rating (DTR) technique is cost-effective approach mitigate the by exploiting potential transmission capability. From perspectives of service life and Braess paradox, it important challenging jointly optimize DTR placement its operation schedule for changing system state, which two-stage combinatorial problem with only discrete variables, suffering from no approximation guarantee dimension curse in traditional solving algorithms. Thus, present work proposes novel submodular optimization (TSSO) mitigation considering schedule. Specifically, optimizes proper redundancy first stage, then determines corresponding each state second stage. Under condition Markov features sub-function mitigation, submodularity total objective function TSSO can be proven time. Based on this, state-of-the-art efficient algorithm developed that provide better than previous studies coordinating separate curvature error form. The performance proposed model verified case results.

Optimization of Operation of Microgrid by Thermal Demand Response Considering Enhancement of Consumers’ Thermal Comfort

In recent years, multi-energy microgrids including electricity, gas and thermal are more grown; that presents demand response (DR) models considering multi-energy storages and renewable resources. Appropriate DR management with storages may lead to optimal flexibility. In this paper, a probabilistic linear model is introduced to assess the effect of flexibility and DR. In the proposed model, el...

Risk-Sensitive Submodular Optimization

The conditional value at risk (CVaR) is a popular risk measure which enables risk-averse decision making under uncertainty. We consider maximizing the CVaR of a continuous submodular function, an extension of submodular set functions to a continuous domain. One example application is allocating a continuous amount of energy to each sensor in a network, with the goal of detecting intrusion or co...

Two-stage Operation for Rhinoplasty

1 Can RhinOPlaSty Be a 2-StaGe OPeRatiOn? The idea is to inform patients with large noses, especially those with a family background of large noses, of the possibility of 2 stages of surgery. Any operation to reduce the size of the nose substantially can subject the patient to the possibility of pollybeak deformity and disappointment, followed by reconstruction of the nose with a graft, etc. I ...

Using Dynamic Thermal Rating and Energy Storage Systems Technologies Simultaneously for Optimal Integration and Utilization of Renewable Energy Sources

Nowadays, optimal integration and utilization of renewable energy sources (RES) are of the most challenging issues in power systems. The wind and solar generation units' maximum production may or may not occur at peak consumption times resulting in non-optimal utilization of these resources. As a solution to this problem, energy storage systems (ESS) are embedded in networks. However, the power...
